How to Bill for PROGINICINTM

Can I bill for PROGINICIN™?  Yes

As with most dental procedures, administration of antimicrobial agents, such as PROGINICIN, has its own designated CDT code: D4381 (Local delivery of antimicrobial agent, per tooth by report).  D4381 should be accompanied by another periodontal code:

How Do I Bill? Per Tooth, By Report

"Per tooth by report" refers to combining the treatment cost for the total number of pockets treated around a single tooth on one line of a claim form.
Example:
PROGINICINTM suggested retail value per vile = $30
Tooth #1 had 2 sites treated with PROGINICINTM = $60
Tooth #2 had 4 sites treated with PROGINICINTM = $120
